Content & Design of your Popup
With our user interface, designing your Popup has never been easier.
This article will give you a walkthrough of the 'Design' and 'Content' creation screens in the Gator Popup tool.
Content
1. To access the 'Content' tab, select the icon as shown above.
2. This is the title of your popup and what should be used to grab the visitors attention!
3. Add the relevant popup information here. You can add links in and do basic formatting on the text. More advanced formatting is available in other tabs.
4. This is your button text. It is what visitors will click on in your popup to navigate to any attached link.
1. Here you need to select whether the website you are using is HTTPS or HTTP.
2. Then you need to enter the URL of the website you want the popup to appear on.
3. If you wish for the Target URL to open in a new window so as not to lose the original page being viewed, then please tick this box.
4. In your campaigns and in strings on your site URL you will find UTM values. These are used for tracking purposes and can also track your popup. Enter the UTM values you wish the target URL to identify in the popup tracking.
Display
1. This option allows you to set whether the popup appears as a window or a bar.
2. This option will move the popup around the screen. This will show in the preview window of the app.
3. Making the popup non intrusive on mobile will cause it to change how it is displayed, in order to not block other content for the user.
4. Here you will choose what entry animation to apply to the popup. These are shown in the list on point 6.
5. Here you will choose what exit animation to apply to the popup.
6. These are but a few of the animations you can choose from to customise how your popup appears and disappears.
1. This option allows you to decide if you want to use an image on your pop-up, and what that image will be. We have a large variety of images for you to choose from.
2. Selecting 'Use Image Colour' will set the colours of the popup to match with the image content colours.
3. You can position the image to the left or right of the text.
4. This will set the image background colour.
5. You can choose from our set of fonts to create the look you desire.
6. This is where you can set all the colours of the popup.
