December 2018 Top 3 Product Updates

Our monthly product updates always contain exciting new features or fixes for your issues and gripes! But a lot of updates means a lot of information to relay, and let's face it, most people don't want to read through pages of text.

So here are our Top 3 product updates for December which benefit you the most!

1. Template Restrictions and Block Locking

New to Gator Creator is the ability to lock email template designs, as well as being able to lock individual blocks.
This enables you to lock a block in an email design so it cannot be edited further by other people in your organisation.

Options include:

  • Disable Moving Blocks
  • Disable Deleting Blocks
  • Disable Duplicating Blocks
  • Disable Adding Blocks
  • Disable Saving Block
  • Disable Page Styling

Giving a user the "NoTemplateEdit" role means they will not be able to access template or email design locking.

Please Note: This role function will have to be requested by an Admin user to our Support Team, it cannot be set by yourself.

Clicking on the lock button shown above will bring up the Edit Restrictions Screen.

2. Page Level Background Images

Another feature we have added in Gator Creator, is the ability to have an image set as the background of your email.

This can be a png, jpg, and even gifs. Though please be aware that the recipients email client decides whether to display the gif or not.
For example, Outlook will display a gif as a still image or do just one loop through, but in GMail you can view gifs with no issue.

Once an image or gif has been uploaded you will be able to add a fallback colour for if the image won't display in the email client.

3. Campaign Strategy

Now in available in Gator Mail is our new Campaign Strategy button! This will pop up when creating a new campaign, with options of Prospect, Customer, or Other (a mix of Prospect & Customer) so the AI can predict how your email campaign will be received by the audience.

By training the AI it will, over time, better predict your campaign reception as it analyses previous campaign data.

Campaign Strategy was designed with the AI so that the AI can differentiate between prospects and customers to give more accurate campaign estimates.

Using this new function will help boost your audience engagement and perhaps make you realise the effects of different email designs you have created on audience reception.

Please Note: Gator Express is being phased out and will no longer be supported after February 1st 2019.
